We all Disney animation fans know very well who is Glen Keane and what he did for Disney, Glen Keane is the animated equivalent of Brad Pitt or something.
Well, Steve Hulett (a former man of the story for Disney and the son of the famous Disney artist, backgrounds, Ralph Hulett) of the TAG blog Glen happened to meet at the studios of Disney animation and has posted this conversation about some items that for some rather alarming 'move:
"My contract with Disney will end in May, and with due diligence, I'm looking around to see what's out there. I am 57 years old and I want the rest of my career counts for something.
"I know Jeffrey Katzenberg in a long time, and I like him. And DreamWorks Animation is a dynamic study. I also like what is happening in Disney. I think that Rapunzel has been one of our best features, and I made many more drawings for this film than it has done working on Tarzan. It 'was amazing to work with the animators on staff, helping to bring the work to the next level ... "control a bit' better Hulett's post and some comments pretty bad after the article. We only hope that the leaders of Walt Disney Animation Disney knows what they might lose if he were to Glen go, because DreamWorks Animation knows what it would gain. The talent can sometimes get cheap, but the reputation ever.
Keane is one of the main reasons why most young animators end up choosing the WDAS ...
We hope that Disney will not allow that talent the likes of Glen Keane if they go elsewhere. And what do you think?!
